and what it does to the "Bobcat's Chat" chatroom.

Screen Resolutions: 640x480 bad ~ 800x600 OK ~ 1280x768 better ...

640x480 pixels, this resolution is to small for chatroom. Only the box that you type your message in is showing. You can't see the message display window above or the 'Chatters' column on the left.	At 800x600 pixels, now you can see a few lines of text in the message display window and who's in the 'Chatters' column on the left.

1024x768 pixels, now you can see several lines of text. You can look away, surf a posted link and not lose your place in the chat.	1280x1024 pixels, is even better yet. 30 plus lines of text.

*To change your screen's resolution* go to your 'Control Panel', select 'Display Properties', then click on 'Settings' tab and adjust the 'Screen Resolution' to a larger desired size. Hopefully you can re-set your screen resolution to at least 800x600. Better yet re-set to 1024x768 or 1152x864 or 1280x960 or even 1280x1024 pixels if your "Video card" & "Monitor" can handle it. Sometimes reducing 'Color Quality' (32 bit down to 24 bit or 16 bit color) will allow you to increase your 'Screen Resolution'.

"It is a good thing" <g> to open two or more windows before going into the chatroom. I open at least three windows to Bobcats' Chat. Then enter the chatroom in the first window. Now I have two other windows I can surf in and not disturb the chatroom window. The image to the left is an example of this kind of multi-tasking. Notice I have moved the chatroom window to the top left and off of my screen as far as possible to try and free up more desktop for other goodies. The joys of multi-tasking at 1280x1024PPI resolution on a 15" screen. OK, Now, if I could only get stronger bifocal eye glasses, I could go to 1600x1400 and get more neat stuff going on my screen. heh he he (^8 j mercer '66
