Come one, come all and you shall
see
What fun Bobcats will have in D.C.
Leave all political aspirations aside
As Wouter says, “We will imbibe.”
Attached is the form you must
complete
It covers registration and the hospitality suite.
There’s a dinner dance that costs a little more
We’ll see who’s got guts to get on the dance floor.
Enough of this rambling,
babbling rhyme
I’ve taken enough of your valuable time.
It’s an all-class gathering with friends galore
But none better than the class of ’64!
With apologizes to Mr. Wernette for the poetic injustice above, it’s time to get the word out about the next all-class reunion for London Central: October 7th – 10th in Washington D.C.
Bill “Spoonman” Cooper, class of ’57, is the host for this gathering (means he gets the most Advil) and I’ve volunteered to help with getting our group involved and organized. So East Coasters, there’s little or no excuse for not being part of this since its right in your neck of the woods.
This is going to all the ‘64ers and class reps on my list so please let me know if you are going to be able to make it. I will probably impose on a few of you familiar with the D.C. area for the possibility of tours etc. as we get closer to the event.
See ya’ in D.C.

The VENUE (2/27/05)
Our hotel is the Holiday Inn in Rosslyn, Virginia, less than a half mile across the Key Bridge from Georgetown, DC. The hotel is two blocks from the DC Metro, which affords easy access to downtown DC and National Airport. There’s a fine restaurant with an unequaled panoramic view of Washington. There are also shuttles to a variety of locations. Check out this website:
http://dc.onetravelsource.com/brochure/10045353
The Holiday Inn has given us a rate of $99 per room per night, plus 10.25% tax. This is a very good price for the area. Mention code LCH to get this rate.
The dates remain as before: Friday, October 7 thru Monday, October 10, 2005. For those of you who plan to stay at the hotel, it’s not too early to reserve a room. Do it as soon as you can. The Holiday Inn has 300 rooms and has set aside half of them for us at this time. As soon as it becomes apparent that we’ll need more, the Holiday Inn will be happy to give us more, but only if they’re still available. Let’s fill the place up!
Events for the reunion are still much in the planning stage. We do have the Holiday Inn’s ballroom reserved for dinner and dancing on the evening of Saturday the 8th. I’m also working on a Potomac cruise, possibly on Sunday afternoon/evening.
Ideas are most welcome, as are helpful volunteers. Watch for further announcements on this website with details about registration for the reunion, the dinner dance, and other events. Please email your suggestions and questions to me, Bill Cooper (’57) at liammail@erols.co
