Did you know LondonCentral.org is an all-volunteer effort? There is no pay or salary, and we do not charge dues or fees to use this great site. Even our server space is generously donated by a very charitable classmate. Everything you see at LondonCentral.org is the product of thousands of hours by capable volunteers piecing things together to create a site everyone can use and enjoy. Most of what you see is the work of J. Mercer and the dedication of many others in an effort to provide pages full of memories of those unforgettable years in England during possibly the best times of our lives.
It doesn’t end there. We keep contact, e-mail, reunion and all other relevant information up to date so alumni are well informed. All Class Representatives have been provided their own Class Page to help them better communicate, network or do whatever they need.
As you might guess, there is much more we could do here if we had the help. Volunteers can accept as little or as much work as desired. The idea here is to have fun and do so without any cost to you but perhaps some time.
Look through the list below. It could be as easy as donating a few photos.
Class Representatives: Brief description of requirements to come ...
MS-Excel Users: Create databases and maintain Class Lists.
MS-FrontPage Users: Webmaster experience helpful; however, fluency in MS-FrontPage acceptable. Coordinate with Founders and Class Representatives for changes and updates to site. Create and maintain Yearbook and Class pages. Flexible hours. Payoff is all the compliments you’ll receive for the fruits of your labor!
Photo Donors: If you have photos of places, people or events of interest to Bobcats, please contact us. Photos will be returned. An alternative is to have them scanned to disc at Wal-mart or Walgreens.
Search Assistant: Assist Steve Thelin in seeking out and contacting alumni. An easy assignment; requires some copy, paste and e-mailing skills. Most will start with their graduation year. Remember, you can accept as much or as little work as you desire. Payoff is finding and contacting your old friends!
Scanners: Requires full understanding of the functions of your scanner and ability to scan yearbooks for posting to standard specifications. Totally flexible hours. Estimate 150 pages over a period of one month. A slow process but gratifying. Suggest you try scanning a page or two first to specifications listed in yearbook section before volunteering.
Scanners with Yearbooks: Same as above, but scan your yearbook to post on the site.
Travel and Convention Consultant: Assist Reunion Committees occasionally in planning and organizing. Experience with travel, accommodations and Event Planning required.
Writers: Create and edit content.
