Here we go………. Thank you all
participating in this survey. We are thinking of running the survey once a
year and keep these stats current.
Here are the results of the recent Reunion Survey 8/31/02:
How Much
Notice: 6 months to 1 year.
Best time of Year: Summer Months.
Dress:
Casual.
Near:
Attractions.
Regions in order Preferred: West/Midwest/Southwest/East & Points
Central to South.
A Days Drive: 400-500
miles.
Other observations: Some interest in Family & Formal, Comments mention “not on Holiday weekends”, Respondents attended LCHS 62-97.
Steve’s Conclusions: Pick a date in the Summer. July through August. Near an attraction of sorts. A days drive or accessible by air with very few connections. With little need for transportation once there. In a climate cooler or dryer than southern locations unless it’s a Beach. Open it to a broad window of years (i.e. New 0rleans July '02 was 65-77 and very successful).
Keep in mind- LondonCentral.org does not arrange reunions. Our purpose is to post information and contacts. If a group of folks wish to organize a reunion or gathering, let us know what you are considering and we’ll post it. In most cases, you can utilize the Promotional planners at large hotels to get ideas and organize events. They can offer group rates, Dining facilities and sometimes entertainment. We can also put you in touch with past reunion hosts so you can get some more ideas.
