Hello Fellow Bobcats! No, I haven't fallen off the earth, however, at times last year I wish I had! Never been so bogged down in paperwork and demands! So feeling the "crunch", I have changed schools. I am heading to a brand new school, "Deerchase Elementary School," with a GREAT Principal, and no, I'm not saying that too soon. All I've heard is good things, so I'm very optimistic about the coming year. I'm still in fifth grade, Mr. Robertson. Just wanted you to know!!
I
think I've corrected some addresses, and in case you haven't checked out the
LCHS Web site, some addresses are as follows:
Beverly Sheffield Wilhelm
rbwilhelm@starband.net
Bev is still sending out those jokes that keep me going throughout the school year!
Thanks!
Sam "Al" Kelley's email is the same. His new address is 641 No. Fowler Avenue, Apt. 207, Clovis, CA 93611. He still in a Youth Detention Center Facility, so you know how that goes. We've compared "kids" at a couple of points in time. Bottom line is, kids are kids no matter what!
Carson Kemp, a graduate of 1966, has been added to the email list: crsnkemp@aol.com.
I'll have to put you on the buddy list and try to catch you on line. Where are you?
Doug Lunsford's email has changed: DougLunsford@tampabay.rr.com
He's traded in Sunny California for Sunny Florida and is teaching. Finished or is about to finish his doctorate. Let us know when we can call you Dr. Lunsford!?
Nancy Rorden has changed her email address: NKRorden@peoplepc.com
We had a wonderful time in New Orleans, we did!
Linda Krause McComb and Terri Record Sorenson are still looking for Patti McDaniel. I thought she was at one time in Atlanta, so we'll keep looking. Linda and Jeff McComb are living in Jacksonville, FL. New email address is: jml@bellsouth.net
Terri is living and teaching in California. When are we going to retire, Terri?
Now, after "Katrina" was all over with and the devastation had settled down, Leo Mullin's sister, Kathy Mullin-Cobb was living in Mobile, AL, and we wrote several times. She and Leo and their families all survived with minimum damage to homes and property. We're thankful for that and for other Bobcat families that made it through! Leo's email is: leo.mullin@motion-ind.com
Kathy's is: chbade@comcast.net I'm sure they'd appreciate an email!!
The DC Reunion was incredible. I went up on Thursday, and stayed until Monday. Mr. Bill Cooper, Class of 1957, was our illustrious leader and we all had a wonderful time partying on down!! There was a map in the hospitality room and we placed pegs on the map of all the places we had lived in the world. The view from the hotel was of Georgetown and the National Cathedral. Really wish more of you from 1966 had been able to go. It had a long time since I had toured DC. We took a night bus ride of all the monuments that were lit up which was beautiful. Several of us took off daily to the various Smithsonian buildings and just enjoyed the sights and sounds of DC. Take a look at the web site. Thanks J for your time and effort in maintaining pictures and memories for all to enjoy! K Faulkner DC 05

'66 E-mail Addresses Email addresses from our class. Please make sure you send J Mercer an update if your address changes. I notice some that always bounce back and have not been changed. Let us know.
Also, I want to mention that Tim Wurtz, Class of 1966, sent a note to Class Reps about the DVD that is now available. I copied his note, so read on:
Dear London Central Brat,
"BRATS: Our Journey Home" is now available on DVD at <bratsourjourneyhome.com>.
It's the first-ever documentary about us -- about growing up "Brat" -- and how
that has profoundly shaped our lives and our struggle to belong. Help us spread
the word.
I'm Tim Wurtz, LCHS and Ankara American High School class of 1969. I
co-produced "BRATS: Our Journey Home." It's written and directed by Army Brat
Donna Musil and narrated by Air Force Brat Kris Kristofferson. We need your
support to let other Brats know about this movie. Here's what people are
saying...
"I saw this beautiful film at the Newport Beach Film Festival... it is very,
very well made and is a must for each and every person who ever lived under
these circumstances... this is not an easy topic... the filmmakers have done an
excellent job of laying out the major issues... we should all support this film
in the most aggressive way possible... visit the web site and see the film."
-John Hardy, Air Force Brat, London Central '66 - Producer or executive
producer of "Sex, Lies and Videotape" "The Limey" "Erin Brokovich" "Ocean's 11"
"Ocean's 12"...
"I can't believe the changes in my life it's brought about already."
-Ginger Cole Turner, DOD teacher's daughter
"I am completely overwhelmed. I thought I had covered this waterfront both
intellectually and emotionally, but how wrong I was. I was sobbing."
-Sarah Bird, Air Force Brat, author, "The Yokota Officers Club"
"It took me from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other. This
documentary should be classified as required viewing."
-Steve Eisenbaugh, CIA Brat, Taipei American School
Watch this movie and help us inform Brat Nation. Please forward this e-mail to
every brat you know, including your brothers and sisters, and to the parents of
every brat you know.

Should be a great journey to add to the memories of London Central! And please read this book if you haven't: Sarah Bird, Air Force Brat, author, "The Yokota Officers Club."
I read is on one of my trips west and laughed until I cried because I could relate to everything in it being an AF Brat!
Also, I found Mike Barley on Classmates and sent Mike and email through them. Hopefully, he'll write and let me know where he's been for forty years.
Masters is over and my boss man, of course, being the great one that he is, gave me Little Phil's autograph on a pairing sheet again this year! What a treat! Hopefully, Phil is on his way to a grand slam in golf this year! YAHOO!!!
Summer is moving on. Time for the fixer uppers around here, and my son, Russ, is getting married in Anniston, AL on July 8, at the old Fort McClellan NCO Club! She is a nurse, so I know he's in good hands! Now, the old Fort might trigger memories for somebody, somewhere?!?
Let me hear from you all. Sure has been quiet over the last year and half. I know you're out there somewhere and into all kinds of mischief! I'd like J to post more family pictures and vacation fun on the web site, so send'em on!!
Take care, Bobcats, and have a safe summer!!
